Hi there! I am Sachin Bhadang, currently pursuing my Master’s at UC San Diego, specializing in Robotics. I’m currently researching contact-rich manipulation under Prof. Xiaolong Wang.
Previously I completed my undergrad at IIT Kanpur where I double majored in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. During my time at IITK I was a Research Assistat at the Intelligent Systems and Controls Lab, working on robot grasping and manipulation in cluttered environments under the supervision of Prof. Tushar Sandhan and Prof. Laxmidhar Behera.
I also had the opportunity to work at the PEARL Lab at TU Darmstadt as a Research Intern, where I focused on dynamic scene-graph representations for mobile manipulation. During the summer of 2023, I was selected as part of the MITACS Globalink Research Internship to conduct fully funded research in Canada under the supervision of Prof. Hashim Mohamed on Out-of-Distribution Detection.
